Rules

  • Female characters must be the focus of the submissions

This is a rule that has pretty much always been respected, but we just spell it out for good measure. Of course we are aware that male characters cannot always be avoided, but the focus of the group remains on female characters as the subjects of inanimation. Don't take this as an absolute number but rather as an indication: submissions with male characters should have at least a 2:1 ratio of female characters.

  • Only fully inanimate predicaments, or processes of becoming fully inanimate
This is a group about inanimation, so submissions in which the "victims" are still able to move around like normal don't fit within the theme. This includes robots, as well as animate statues such as golems. Windup dolls are borderline, since they are unable to move while unwinded. Anything else that cannot move on its own is fine.

  • Submissions must fit within the deviantART Terms of Service
This has two main implications :

- For manips, you must either use stock pictures or have permission from the owner of the original picture. Crediting the stocks and/or original owners would be truly appreciated. Also, be careful with so-called "renders", which tend to be cutouts of copyrighted work that the submitter usually does not have permission for, even though they call them "stock". Manips using these won't be considered appropriate for the group either. If you wish to know more about deviantART policies on manips and stock material, please check the following :

- FAQ #157: Can I use things created by other people in my submissions?
- FAQ #193: How do I prove that I had permission to use someone's work? (this is a bit excessive though, we won't ask for so much)
- FAQ #306: Does "Crediting" let me use whatever I want?

- We will not accept submissions that fall within deviantART's definition of pornographic literature or imagery. For clear definitions of those, please check the following :

- FAQ #251: You prohibit the submission of 'pornographic literature'; what do you consider this to be?
- FAQ #565: You prohibit the submission of 'pornographic imagery'; what do you consider this to be?

  • Art theft is a serious offense and members proven to be art thieves will be banned from the group and their submissions removed.

  • As a corollary of this hardline stance on art theft, AI-generated pictures are not currently allowed in the group either. The debate on this technology is heated, to say the least. That said, our stance is that, in its current iteration, it was built on the works of countless artists without consent. No matter how much those models "break down" those datasets into statistical data mush, there is no getting around that fundamental fact, and we will treat resulting pictures the same as manips without the proper authorizations.

  • For batches of pictures very similar to each other, only submit one of them
This includes :

- Pictures that are basically the same with only changes in the stage of transformation, or changes in clothing, etc.

- Re-renders of the same picture from different angles. An exception is big group pictures in which close-ups may be needed to see details.

- Very long sequences of chronological single pictures that have little visual difference and would be much better off in comic format

  • Only finished works
If you uploaded a work in progress picture that you know you are going to complete later, then we would prefer if you submitted only the final version of the picture. Now, we are well aware that sometimes artists may draw a sketch without any intent to do anything more with it, and then later decide to refine it and do another upload with an updated version. In this case, we would really appreciate if you could remove the work-in-progress submission before submitting the updated version, to keep things clean within the group.

We also expect a certain standard of quality for the submissions. We are not picky and will accept submissions from aspiring artists, but we simply require a minimal amount of effort put into the submissions. If you draw a character without recognizable features, we may choose to reject your drawing.

  • We reserve the right to refuse a submission for any reason other than what is listed above.

Hey all, Mako here. It's been a while since I've posted anything here as I left the group in the hands of some reliable friends. Last week both my twitter accounts were permanently suspended for platform manipulation, spam and ban evasion supposedly. https://twitter.com/MakoLinkHayashi
If anyone's been wondering why the accounts disappeared or stopped updating, that would be why. Unfortunately, my appeals were denied and there is little to no chance of recovering the accounts. That puts me in a bind as outside my patreon/fanbox twitter was my primary platform of sharing content as well as pixiv but they are two different things. While I have no issues staying in touch with our community I also don't have many options in which to share my work which needless to say it can be quite demotivating to the point where I am questioning what to do from here on out.
Anyway, rant over and thanks to my supporters here, pixiv, etc.
Mako signing out.

I wonder if there's a category for when the victim remains aware after being made a piece of art.

Originally titled Alt-Sex-Fetish-Robot, ASFR now generally means anything that involves transformation either to stone, gold, metal, doll, mannequin, etc.

Thanks for the add! Hope my works don't are worthy of being "collected".
